Race to Empower – Race Day Details!

It’s hard to believe Race Weekend has already arrived! For those of you who are participating, please note the following:

• Early packet pick-up will be held on Saturday, May 2nd from 12:00pm – 4:00pm at UCP of Greater Cleveland headquarters (10011 Euclid Avenue). Avoid the lines on race day and come get your race gear a day early! You CAN pick up the packets for your whole team. Our main parking lot will be open for free parking.
• Race Day packet pick-up and registration begins at 7:30am in the UCP  lobby. If you are picking up your packet or are registering on-site, please plan to arrive early as we are expecting at least 600 racers.
• Both races will start and end at the UCP of Greater Cleveland headquarters.
• The 5k will start at 9:00am. We ask that the 5K runners line up first, followed by the 5k walkers. To view the 5k course, click here: www.hermescleveland.com/roadracing/course_maps/empower.pdf
• The One Mile walk/run will start at 9:10am. Again, we ask that all One Mile runners line up first, followed by the walkers. To view the One Mile course, click here: www.hermescleveland.com/roadracing/course_maps/empower1mi.pdf
• Please be sure to be courteous of the other participants on the course. Be sure to leave plenty of room for runners to pass you and do not crowd the lane with groups.
• There is some construction on East 105th Street on the course. Please listen to the instructions of the volunteers and be careful to avoid potholes, cones and other barriers.
• You have two FREE parking options:
• The Cleveland Clinic surface lot on the corner of East 97th and Chester Avenue. Access is available off East 97th Street.
• The Cleveland Sight Center located at East 101st and Chester Avenue. Access is available off East 101st Street.
• Please note: Free parking is first come-first served. There is also a Cleveland Clinic pay lot located on East 93rd between Chester and Euclid.
• If you are a member of a team, we will be taking team photos prior to the race start. If you and your team members are interested, please report to the DJ booth at 8:15 am.
• There will be an awards ceremony immediately following the race with medals for the top male and female finishers, as well as the top three males and females in each age group.
