Learn More About #GivingTuesday
We have a day for giving thanks. We have two days for getting deals – Black Friday and Cyber Monday. On #GivingTuesday, we have a day for giving back. #GivingTuesday is the opening day of the giving season: a reminder of “the reason for the season.”
Occurring this year on November 28, #GivingTuesday is held annually on the Tuesday after Thanksgiving (in the U.S.) to encourage philanthropy and to celebrate generosity worldwide.
This global day of giving harnesses the collective power of individuals, communities and organizations to transform how people think about, talk about, and participate in the giving season. It inspires people to take collective action to improve their communities, give back in better, smarter ways to the charities and causes they believe in, and help create a better world.
With your support, we will raise funds to help empower children and adults with disabilities to advance their independence and inclusion in the community. Amazing things happen every day at UCP of Greater Cleveland. We help children take their first steps and adults find meaningful employment.
How can you be part of it? Here are a few simple ideas:
- Consider making a gift on #GivingTuesday at https://www.ucpcleveland.org/donate/be-a-part-of-givingtuesday/. We hope to raise $6,000 on this one day, and every little bit helps!
- Help us get the word out on social media, using @ucpcleveland and the hashtags #GivingTuesday and #UCPCLE.
- Take an #unselfie (a selfless selfie) to show how and why you are giving. Post your #unselfie on Facebook, Twitter or Instagram and remember to tag us using the hashtags mentioned above!
- Do something kind for another person.
With your support, we can raise the critical funds needed to serve individuals with disabilities in the Northeast Ohio community.
