Virtual Race to Empower FAQs

Q1: When and where does the race take place?

A: You can complete the race anywhere, anytime between now and July 31. You can race on your own or with family and friends. **You can choose to wait and race until after you have picked up your race packet so that you can wear your race shirt and bib while racing! This makes for a great photo opportunity!**

Q2: When can I pick up my packet?

A: Everyone who registers by June 16 will be able to pick up their race packet on Saturday, June 27 at your pre-selected location (Fleet Feet Westlake, Fleet Feet Pepper Pike or UCP of Greater Cleveland). Everyone who registers between June 17 and July 31 will pick up their race packet in August (date TBD).

Q3: Do I have to wear the race bib?

A: No, you do not have to wear your race bib (or your race shirt) if you do not want to. The race bib is meant to be commemorative of completing the 8th annual Race to Empower. It will not provide any timing metrics. You will have to track your own time, if you wish to do so.

Q4: Do I have to track my time?

A: No, you do not, but we encourage you to do so that you can be added to the Finisher’s Page and we know that you have completed the race!

Everyone who submits a photo of theirself racing and/or their race time will be entered in a raffle to win a FREE race registration for the 2021 Race to Empower! We will choose three raffle winners!! Photos can be sent to Emily at ehastings@ucpcleveland.org and race times can be sent to Haleigh at hbartlett@hermescleveland.com.
