25 Years in University Circle

On June 29, 1999, UCP of Greater Cleveland moved into the then brand-new Iris S. and Bert L. Wolstein Center in University Circle. After nearly 50 years of providing an array of services in different locations, we were finally able to unite (most of) them under one roof.

Today, the building continues to serve us well, housing our pediatric therapy clinic, adult day and vocational programming, offices, and more. It has become a meaningful place to both those who participate in services here and those who work here.

Our Wolstein Center has become a place of community, where individuals with disabilities and their families can feel welcomed, supported, and safe. In this place, friendships are built, goals are achieved, hope is renewed.

Here, people gather who understand each other, accept one another, and support each other through the toughest of times and the best of times alike. Together, we celebrate strengths and accomplishments. We value each and every person, embracing their unique skills, abilities, and interests.

Looking back on 25 years, we feel immense gratitude for the space we have to do our work. And as we move forward, we are determined to continue to use this building as a place of empowerment, encouragement, safety, and support for people with disabilities and their families!
