Group Employment
Group employment sites utilize a group of individuals working together in a community setting with ongoing support from an on-site OakLeaf supervisor. OakLeaf Partners contracts with area businesses to develop these work opportunities for individuals with disabilities. Individuals served are employees of UCP of Greater Cleveland and receive an hourly wage. Companies are then billed for wages, as well as administrative and benefit fees. Prior to placement, participants are pre-screened, interviewed and undergo a situational assessment at the work site to evaluate job match and skills. Work adjustment periods are also available to assist individuals in adapting to work schedules and demands. During situational assessments or work adjustment, there is no charge to the host employer.
This service is typically available for individuals who receive Medicaid Waiver funding. Please talk with your Support Administrator if you have any questions about eligibility.
Current Group Employment Partners include:
- Cleveland Clinic Employee Health Plan (job duties include clerical work and data entry)
- Oatey Company (job duties include light assembly work and packaging)
