Funding for Assistive Technology
Funding for assistive technology devices and services depends on the functions of the device, the environment, and the user.
Options for funding include, but are not limited to:
- Work – request a Rehabilitation Technology evaluation through your OOD VR counselor
- School – request an AT evaluation through your school district
- Insurance – your provider can discuss types of AT that may be covered through your insurance
- Private Pay – clients may choose to pay for AT through their own alternative funding sources
- Scholarships/Grants
